About Me
People often come for counselling when they feel they are in crisis and find it difficult to see a way forward. Feelings of being trapped and unable to communicate are fairly common. Counselling can be a time of movement and greater understanding. Together, in the course of the counselling sessions, we can explore these possibilities for change in a supportive and confidential environment helping couples relate better to each other and individuals feel able to deal with events in their life.
I have worked for many years in the voluntary and private sector with couples and individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I offer a confidential service from a comfortable and professional home office.

In addition to my private work I deliver counselling as part of an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) helping small/medium companies to offer support to employees. This includes difficulties such as: emotional distress caused by major life events, bereavement, workplace bullying, relationship issues and more, all of which may be affecting employees attendance/productivity.
If you are an employer looking for support for an employee please contact me to find out more.

Confidentiality
Counselling allows you to talk confidentially about experiences and feelings. Counsellors are not permitted to disclose any details of the session. However, confidentiality can be broken if I feel you might harm yourself or others, if there are child protection issues or imminent criminal action. I would discuss with you beforehand so we could find the best way of moving forward.
